Evaporative Cooling

Evaporative cooling is a form of air conditioning suited for an entire house. It is highly economical to run and produces a cooling effect through volume air changes in the dwelling. Another benefit it offers is that it is a natural form of ventilation, as air is constantly pushed inside the house and then outside. However, it can be quite noisy when running, as large volumes of air are needed for the cooling effect. Additionally, this system solely relies on air changes, creating a windy environment inside the home, which requires all windows to be opened while operational. The evaporative cooling effect also increases the moisture content in the air, leading to amuggy" feeling. An evaporative cooler’s ability to cool a home is subject to outside temperatures. For example, on days with high humidity, the cooling effect is nearly ineffective. Conversely, if the outside temperature is too hot (above 35 degrees Celsius), the cooling effect becomes ineffective again.
